Cancel, Close or Reactivate Your Church

Cancel the subscription

1. In the sidebar, choose Administration, then Church Settings.
2. Under Billing, choose to cancel.

Your church keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for; Church HQ says which date that is. Nothing is charged again.

What happens after that

The church closes at the end of the period. A closed church is not deleted:

• Owners and Administrators can still sign in to billing and export the data.
• Your records are kept for a while before anything is removed for good.
• Nobody else can get in.

Reactivate

An Owner or Administrator signs in, and the closed-church screen offers to reactivate. Pay, and the church comes back with everything in it.

Before you go

• Export your data: people, households, giving, attendance and volunteers.
• Download giving statements if the year is not finished, since your donors will ask.
• Tell your team, because their access ends with the church.

Good to know

• Only an Owner can cancel or close a church. An Administrator can reactivate and can export.
• Other churches you belong to are untouched.
